Forest fires threaten the lives of residents in southwestern Australia and calls to leave the area immediately

The Western Australian Fire and Emergency Services Department is asking residents in the Glen Mervyn, Mumballup and Noggerup areas of Donnybrook-Balingup county to leave their homes to a safer location if the roads are impassable, or to take shelter in their homes as the fire poses a threat to their lives and property.

"You are in danger and you need immediate action to survive! Lives and homes are at risk," she said in a statement.

A large fire broke out in the forests of southwestern Australia as a result of the storms in the region, and the authorities have not yet been able to control it.
